Ghana and Porto winger Christian Atsu is being chased by English Premier League side Tottenham after his superb performance in the Champions League matches. The Spurs manager Andre Villas-Boas asked the team's management to secure the £12 million needed to get the services of the highly rated Ghanaian player, website Ghanasoccernet reported on Sunday. Tottenham's scouts have watched the 20-year-old player throughout his participation with Porto in the European Champions League. The 2010-2011 best young player for FC Porto Atsu has been named as a nominees for the 2012 Golden Boy Award ,given to the best European footballer under the age of 21.
