Synopsis:This animated documentary combines hand-drawn, watercolor, stop-motion, and cut-out techniques to reveal the facts––or lack thereof––behind the Kafkesque story of Claudiu Crulic, a 33-year-old who died while on a hunger strike in a Polish prison. When a judge of the high court of Poland had his wallet stolen, young Romanian drifter Crulic was identified as the suspect. Arrested and held in prison with no hard evidence, he waited for his case to come to trial. Weeks stretched into months, and letters to the Romanian consul proved futile, leading Crulic to stage a hunger strike in protest.
