Renowned author Amin will reveal two new books at celebration of Al-Ain publishing house's new premises in downtown Cairo, Tuesday

Egyptian celebrated economist and thinker, Samir Amin, will be the guest of honour at the launch party of Al-Ain publishing house's new venue on Tuesday, the literary company revealed.
Tuesday's celebration will include the unveiling of two new books by Amin, entitled On Nasserism and Communism in Egypt and Globalized Value and Added Value, in cooperation with the National Centre for Translation.
These books come one year after Egypt's Revolution, also by Amin, that reflected on his published articles before and after the Egyptian January 25 Revolution.
Samir Amin, who has written more than thirty books, was born in Egypt in 1931 to an Egyptian father and French mother and spent his youth in Port Said. After studying in Egypt he continued his diploma in political science in Paris in 1952, before getting a degree in statistics and then a doctorate in economics.
He worked first in Cairo at the Institute for Economic Management from 1957 to 1960 then moved between countries until becoming the director of the Third World Forum in Dakar, Senegal in 1980.
The new Al-Ain space at Behlar Pass, Qasr El-Nil Street, is situated right in the heart of downtown Cairo and will be used for cultural events. The evening will start with a reception at 6pm followed by a discussion about the new titles led by Amin at 7.30pm.
