Fencing: Egyptian trio eliminated in women's contest

Egypt's fencing trio Eman El-Gammal, Shaimaa El-Gammal and Eman Gaber were eliminated in the women's individual on Saturday.
Eman El-Gammal went out after losing 9-15 to Venezuela's Johana Beatriz Fuenmayo while Shaimaa El-Gammal slumped to a narrow 7-6 defeat by Lebanon's Mona Shaito in the round of 64.
Gaber was given a bye into the round of 32 but could not advance further after suffering a 15-2 loss to France's Astrid Guyart.
