Unknown assailants attack Egyptian Football Association headquarter
The Egyptian Football Association was attacked with Molotov cocktails and firecrackers on Friday morning by unidentified individuals

Unknown assailants have attempted to storm the Egyptian Football Association (EFA) headquarters on Friday morning, state run news agency MENA reported.
The attackers hurled petrol bombs and firecrackers at the building, shattering its glass façade. A minor fire occurred in the process but was quickly extinguished by the EFA's security personnel, who failed to either identify or capture the assailants, MENA added.
The EFA has been heavily criticised by Ahly's board of directors and fans alike after the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) abruptly lifted the sanctions imposed on Masry club in the wake of February's Port Said disaster.
CAS said in a statement that the EFA chose not to take part in a hearing, which was attended by a Masry representative.
Ahly believe that was the main reason why CAS had issued a quick verdict in the notorious issue.
Ahly's die-hard supporters were recently attacked by unknown assailants in front of the Journalists Syndicate in downtown Cairo, where they were scheduled to hold a news conference to “reveal secrets” over the Port Said saga.
Masry were originally banned by the EFA for two seasons and demoted to the second division after their supporters invaded the pitch to confront Ahly's visiting contingent in a league game last February, a tragedy which left more than 70 fans dead and hundreds injured.
CAS reinstated them to the Premier League, but said Masry would have to play next season behind closed doors and away from their Port Said Stadium, which EFA ordered be shut for three years.
However, Masry said they would skip the league next season “out of respect to the martyrs' families."
