FIFA names Havelange, Teixeira in kickbacks case FIFA has published a document confirming that its former president Joao Havelange and former Brazilian soccer leader Ricardo Teixeira received millions of dollars in a World Cup kickbacks scandal
FIFA published a Swiss court dossier which details that Teixeira received at least $13 million between 1992-97 from marketing agency ISL, which collapsed into bankruptcy in 2001. The document shows Havelange received a payment of around $1 million. Payments ''attributed'' to accounts connected to the two Brazilians totaled almost $22 million from 1992-2000. FIFA released the document hours after Switzerland's Supreme Court announced its ruling that media organizations should receive details of the ISL case.
