'Virigin, Copts, Me' documentary to show at Cairo's Cafe Riche Documentary film by prominent Egyptian Coptic-Christian director Namir Abdel-Meseeh will be screened at historical Cairo cafe on Tuesday
The documentary film 'The Virgin, The Copts and Me,' by Egyptian director Namir Abdel-Meseeh, will be shown at Cairo's iconic Cafe Riche on Tuesday, 3 July. The film, the screenplay for which had originally revolved around the 1968 Virgin Mary apparitions, later became a semi-biographical film about the filmmakers' family. The documentary came in third place at the Berlinale's Panorama Audience Awards. It was screened at several festivals, including the Doha Tribeca Film Festival and the prestigious Cannes Film Festival.
