Egyptian journalist arrested while filming protests in Khartoum has been released after five hours of questioning

Egyptian journalist Salma El-Wardany has been released by Sudanese authorities in Khartoum after five hours in detention.
El-Wardany told Ahram Online that she was arrested on Thursday morning as she filmed the anti-austerity protests that are erupting on the streets of Sudan's capital.
"I was taken to an unmarked building far from the city centre and questioned for five hours, but I was not mistreated," she told Ahram Online.
El-Wardany, 25, who reports for the Bloomberg news agency and helped found Ahram Online, said that her press card was seized and has been sent to the Foreign Media Office in the Ministry of Information.The Ministry will decide whether or not she is to be deported from Sudan.
Arrested alongside El-Wardany was Sudanese activist and blogger Maha El-Senussi, who has also since been released.
Sudan has been rocked by five days of protests against a possible rise in fuel prices, with some demonstrators demanding the fall of the government. Police and security forces have used tear gas and batons to disperse the demonstrations.
