Newly promoted side Pharco are maintaining their spending spree, as they signed Sudan's international striker Saifeldin 'Tery' Bakhit on Monday, becoming their fifteenth acquisition this summer. Tery, 27, joined Pharco for three seasons after coming from Sudanese side Al-Merreikh, where he had been performing well recently, earning him a spot in the starting lineup of the Sudanese national team. Last season, he scored six goals and created two others in his 10 appearances with Al-Merreikh, and he has eight goals under his belt with the national team after playing 20 matches since his debut in June 2017. Pharco, who are owned by a famous pharmaceuticals company, were established in 2010, and it did not take them long to climb the ladder of the Egyptian league system. The league newcomers signed more than a dozen players, following in the footsteps of fellow privately-owned clubs who are still seeking to establish themselves on the biggest stage. Their high-profile signings including ex-Ahly striker Amr Gamal, who scored 11 goals with Talae El-Geish last season, experienced central defender Rami Sabri, and Pyramids FC duo Abdallah Bakri and Mahmoud Hamada. Pharco also landed four foreigners, including Nigerian midfielder Kingsley Sokari, Algerian forward Rezki Hamroune, Tunisian left back Azmi Ghouma, and Tanzanian forward Yahya Zayd.
