Egypt's national team coach Hossam El-Badry has called up five foreign-based players for the preparatory camp for the games against Angola and Gabon in the 2022 World Cup qualifiers, including Liverpool winger Mohamed Salah and Arsenal midfielder Mohamed Elneny. "The technical staff of Egypt's national team held a meeting on Sunday to determine their needs ahead of the two games in the World Cup qualifiers," read a statement released by the Egyptian Football Association (EFA) on Sunday. "Egypt's coach Hossam El-Badry called up five foreign based players to join the preparatory camp for the coming two games against Angola and Gabon, respectively," the statement added. According to the EFA, the five players who were called up ahead of the upcoming African clashes are star winger Mohamed Salah of Liverpool, Ittihad of Jeddah's defender Ahmed Hegazi, Arsenal's midfielder Mohamed Elneny, striker Ahmed 'Kouka' Hassan of Olympiacos FC, and Galatasaray's in-form striker Mostafa Mohamed. Egypt's next game is scheduled to be against Angola in the 2022 World Cup qualifiers, where they will be playing in Group F, which includes Libya and Gabon. The Pharaohs, record seven-time African champions, booked their place in the 2021 African Cup of Nations when they became the leaders of Group G with 12 points after winning three matches and drawing in the other three.
