The 29th edition of the Citadel Festival for Music and Songs will offer over 30 performances staged at the historic Citadel of Salah Al-Din after a one-year hiatus due to the pandemic. Scheduled to take place between 15 and 30 August, the festival returns after its 2020 edition was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Two concerts are planned for each evening, one starting at 8pm and one at 10pm. Programme: Sunday 15 August 8pm: Opening of the festival and concert by the Cairo Opera Chamber Orchestra 10pm: Foud and Mounib perform, accompanied by the Cairo Opera Festival Orchestra conducted by George Kolta.
