Egypt's Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry headed to Bahrain on Saturday night in an official visit, a statement by the ministry said. Shoukry is scheduled to deliver a written message during his visit from Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi to the King of Bahrain, Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa, according to Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Ahmed Hafez. The message is related to advancing bilateral relations across various fields, and coordinating responses to regional developments in a way that enhances regional stability and preserves Arab national security, Hafez said. During the visit, Egypt's top diplomat will also hold an official consultation session with his Bahraini counterpart Abdullatif Al-Zayani, the statement noted.
