Egyptian athletes have little to play for on the penultimate day of the Olympic Games, with only the handball team having a realistic chance of adding a medal for the country. The country's athletes have so far won four bronze medals -- two in taekwondo, one in wrestling and one in karate. The in-form handball side, which suffered a bitter 27-23 loss to France in the semi-final, meet Spain in the third-place game on Saturday with another bronze medal at stake. Karateka Feryal Abdelaziz faces China's Li Gong, Swiss Elena Quirici, Iranian Hamideh Abbasali and Algeria's Lamya Matoub in pool B of the women's kumite +61kg. Abdelaziz, who won the silver medal at the 2019 African Games in Rabat, will be looking to follow in the footsteps of compatriot Giana Farouk, who won the bronze medal on Friday. Ahmed Hamed and Ahmed Elgendy feature in the men's swimming 200m, fencing bonus round, riding show jumping ranking round and the laser run final of the modern pentathlon. The artistic swimming team takes part in the free routine final while the rhythmic gymnastics team play in the all-round qualifying round.
