Egypt's National Training Academy to train volunteers for presidential Decent Life initiative in countryside
Published in Ahram Online on 09 - 02 - 2021

Egypt's National Training Academy (NTA), which was founded in 2017 as per a presidential decree, announced that it would take part in a presidential project to develop 1,500 villages nationwide.
The academy said it would train individuals willing to participate in the presidential Decent Life initiative, a few days after the initiative announced it is looking for volunteers.
The NTA will provide a “comprehensive education program for volunteers that includes all the creative skills and requirements needed to create a population of youth that is aware of all creative methods and skills,” a statement by the academy said.

Inaugurating national projects via video conference from Port Said, President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi noted that the project to develop 1,500 villages will provide sanitation services, road networks, drinking water systems, governmental institutions, and other services.
The Ministry of State for Information said the 1,500 villages included in the current stage of the project are inhabited by 18 million citizens.
The project also includes developing infrastructure; modernising agricultural and veterinary services; advancing education, electricity, and housing services; establishing industrial areas; and developing medical units, the ministry said.
Egypt is looking to ensure that 50 million citizens in all underdeveloped villages nationwide will benefit from its Decent Life initiative, which has an estimated cost of EGP 500 billion, in the upcoming three years, Planning and Economic Development Minister Hala El-Said told the House of Representatives on Monday.
