Ahly lose lose the services of four of their regular players after they tested positive for COVID-19; right before hosting Wadi Degla in the 5th matchday of the Egyptian Premier League on Friday, the club announced on Thursday. The Cairo giants' football Director, Sayed Abdel-Hafiz, announced on Thursday that Winger Mahmoud “Kahraba” Abdel-Moneim, Striker Marawan Mohsen, Midfielder Akram Tawfik, and Left Back Mohamed Hani have all contracted the disease. "The four players will be subjected to the Ministry of Health's protocol to treat coronavirus patients," Abdel-Hafiz said. The newly infected players will join the absentee list that includes midfielder Amr El-Sulaya, who didn't recover from the coronavirus as of yet. Talented Winger Mohamed 'Afsha' Magdi could be available for the selection after he tested negative for the virus, as he missed the last two games due to the infection. "Afsha will undergo a new PCR test to make sure of his recovery," Ahly's football director added. It's not the first time for Kahraba to be tested positive for COVID-19, as he missed the CAF Champions League's final game against Zamalek last month, then recovered from the infection and returned to the squad. Ahly, who are 2nd in the teams' table with full mark of 9 points, will face Wadi Degla, who placed 11th in the table, in the 5th matchday of the Egyptian Premier League on Friday.
