Liverpool coach Klopp eases speculations around Salah, says he is in 'a good moment'
Published in Ahram Online on 24 - 12 - 2020

Liverpool Coach Jurgen Klopp has denied on Thursday media speculations about Winger Mohamed Salah being upset with the team in the latest period, stressing that "yes, he is in a good moment."
“Media always seek for a chance to talk about Salah when he is on the bench, or because of what has been said before the Crystal Palace game, but we really don't feel such a thing in the team,” Klopp told the press on Thursday.
“In his first season, Salah was on the bench against Stoke City and when he entered the game, he scored two goals, the same thing happened against Crystal Palace, as it doesn't take him much time to fit in the game and score,” he explained.
Klopp assured that Salah is in a good mood and living a brilliant period at Anfield.
The Egyptian international Salah came at the centre of controversy last week after posting some pictures appearing to be frustrated as he was benched against Crystal Palace in the 14th round of the English Premier League which ended 7-0 for the Reds.
The 28-year-old winger, who joined the game as a substitute in the 58th minute, managed to score two goals and provide an assist.
Ahly and Egypt former star Mohamed Abou Treika, who is a close friend of Salah, fueled speculations during his analysis of the Premier League games at Bein Sports TV Channel.
“Salah told me he feels upset, but this doesn't affect his performance. I cannot reveal more, and I am not speaking for him,” Abou Treika said.
These statements came just days following Salah's interview with Spanish Magazine AS where he seemed open to future moves to Real Madrid or Barcelona, saying that he doesn't know what may happen in the future.
Salah, who joined Liverpool in July 2017, has scored 110 goals during his 173 participations in all competitions, helping the Reds win two long-awaited titles: the 2018-2019 Champions League and the 2019-2020 Premier League.
