Mohamed Salah continued his brilliant start to the season by scoring an absolute cracker against Everton, although in a disappointing 2-2 draw at Goodison Park.
Liverpool were denied a last gasp victory thanks to a hugely controversial VAR decision in what would have been a perfect day for Salah to celebrate his 100th goal for the Reds.
The Egyptian king became only the 17th player in the history of Liverpool to score 100 goals. He is the first man to reach a century of strikes for the Reds since Steven Gerrard in 2008 and has done so in the third fewest number of games.
What's even more impressive is that only Roger Hunt (144 appearances) and Jack Parkinson (153) have ever netted 100 Liverpool goals faster than Salah, whose landmark came on his 159th outing. Seventy-nine of Salah's goals for the Reds have been registered in the Premier League, a tally that earned him the Golden Boot in his first two campaigns at Anfield.
In the Champions League, Salah found the back of the net 20 times so far with only Gerrard and Michael Owen scoring more in the biggest football club competition in the world.
Out of Salah's 20 CL goals, the Egyptian will surely remember his penalty strike against Tottenham in the final more than any other. Salah is already considered a Liverpool great and is currently ticking all the boxes to become a club legend alongside the likes of Gerrard, Kenny Dalglish, Ian Rush and Robbie Fowler.
A detailed breakdown of the stats behind Salah's 100 goals: In his first season with the Reds, Salah scored 44 goals in 52 appearances, a Premier League record. His second season saw him score 27 goals in 52 appearances with his third witnessing 23 goals from 48 outings. Salah started this season brilliantly with his strike against Everton, making it six goals in seven games.
In the Premier League, Salah's 79 goals came in 113 games while his 20 CL goals came in only 35 games in addition to a strike in the FA Cup against West Brom during his first season.
Salah obviously loves playing against Bournemouth and Watford more than any other teams as he scored eight goals against each of them. However, both teams were relegated last season, so Salah will have to look elsewhere for goals. He also managed to score seven times against Southampton, six against West Ham and five against Arsenal, Brighton and Tottenham.
Salah has been breaking records seemingly for fun since joining Liverpool and thanks to his strong start to the season he'll surely be aiming to win back the Golden Boot as top Premier League scorer after losing it to Jamie Vardy of Leicester last season.
Six league goals in five games so far is the best start for Salah since joining Liverpool and he will have a very good chance of extending his goal scoring run when he faces a struggling Sheffield United side at Anfield next week.
