Tunisia's Sassi to join Zamalek in Morocco amid Covid-19 infection questions

After reports of testing positive for coronavirus, Tunisian midfielder Ferjani Sassi is set to arrive in Morocco late Thursday in order to join Zamalek's camp ahead of their clash against Raja Casablanca in the first leg African Champions League semifinal, according to the Whites' official website.
"Sassi will land in Morocco at 9 p.m. and will undergo a PCR test before joining the team," the club said in a statement.
Zamalek football director Amir Mortada, revealed on Wednesday that the 28-year-old Tunisian has told the team's doctor that Sassi is infected with the coronavirus.
Sassi had announced earlier that he self-quarantined himself as soon he had known that he has been in touch with a Covid-19 patient, during his participation with his national team, denying what he described at the time as “rumors” saying that he is officially infected.
The final status of Sassi will be decided after the result of his PCR test which he will do as soon he reaches Morocco, while the Whites will be hoping for good news as he's one of the most important players to the team.
Zamalek are scheduled to face Raja Casablanca on Sunday at 9:00 p.m. Cairo local time in the first leg semifinal of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) Champions League, to host the second leg game in Cairo on 24 October.
