EgyptAir resumes flights between Alexandria and Dubai
Published in Ahram Online on 09 - 10 - 2020

EgyptAir resumed on Friday flights between Borg El-Arab International Airport in the northern goveronorate of Alexandria and Dubai International Airport.
Egypt's flagship carrier said it will operate three weekly flights between the two airports.
Egypt has resumed international flights in July, after suspending all air travel in March due to coronavirus.
EgyptAir said two weekly flights will be added to Oman's Muscat; the Jordanian capital of Amman, and South Africa's Johannesburg, as well as a weekly flight to Rwanda's Kigali and Ugandan Entebbe.
The company affirmed that it continues to take all precautionary measures against COVID-19 to ensure the safety of passengers and staff.
Egypt requires travellers of all nationalities arriving in the country to present a negative PCR lab test result certificate, issued 72 hours before arrival, exempting children below the age of six.
However, travellers entering Egypt at any of four airports in the Red Sea governorate and South Sinai can take a coronavirus test upon arrival.
On Saturday, EgyptAir will operate the largest number of daily international and local flights - 47 destinations - since the resumption of air travel.
The company will operate 60 flights on Saturday to Iraqi capital of Baghdad, Ghana's capital of Accra, Nigeria's Lagos and Abuja, Tunisian capital of Tunis, Kenya's capital of Nairobi and Ethiopian capital of Addis Ababa.
EgyptAir flights will also take off to London, Athena, Madrid, Paris, New York, Milano, Frankfurt, Berlin, Amsterdam, Geneva, Brussels, Copenhagen, Moscow, Munich and Vienna. The Arab destinations of Bahrain, Khartoum, Medina and Sharjah are also included.
There will be three flights to each of Dubai and Jeddah and two flights to Istanbul, Abu Dhabi, Dammam, Riyadh and Beirut, said the company.
Also, the company will operate 13 local flights to Hurghada in the Red Sea governorate (five flights), South Sinai's Sharm El Sheikh (four flights) and Taba (one flight), Upper Egypt's Luxor (two flights) and Aswan (one flight).
