Inter aims to continue strong start under Leonardo
New coach Leonardo has already led team to three wins in three games, and hopes to continue trend against Bologna, as Inter trails league leader by 11 points
Published in Ahram Online on 13 - 01 - 2011

Since Leonardo replaced Rafa Benitez as Inter Milan coach, the Brazilian has led the Serie A club to three wins in three games, and next up is Bologna on Sunday.
"They were three different games, but we played very well in all three," Leonardo said of the team's wins over Napoli and Catania in the league and Genoa in the Italian Cup.
"Now we have to continue this way in the league because Bologna is in form and it will be another tough match."
Inter striker Samuel Eto'o continued his remarkable scoring run against Genoa, hitting two to take his tally to 21 in all competitions for Inter.
"The important thing is to win," Eto'o said. "It isn't important who scores." Inter is in seventh place in the league with 29 points, 11 behind league leader AC Milan but with two matches in hand.
Milan, meanwhile, is at Lecce and coach Massimo Allegri is contemplating whether to break up the attacking duo of Alexandre Pato and Zlatan Ibrahimovic to hand newly signed Antonio Cassano a start.
Pato scored twice in the 4-4 draw against Udinese, in which Ibrahimovic hit an injury time equalizer. Between them, the pair have scored 18 Serie A goals this season.
Since Cassano joined Milan over the winter break, the former Sampdoria striker has twice come on late in the two matches he has been involved in.
"Antonio has been a surprise," Milan midfielder Gennaro Gattuso said. "He isn't yet at his best because he needs to find his form and lose some weight, but he has come on and set up three goals in two games.
"Antonio is conscious of the fact that coming to Milan is his last chance," Gattuso added. "But he has found a positive changing room, although one where you need to respect the rules." Second-place Napoli, which trails Milan by four points, hosts Fiorentina.
Much of Napoli's success so far has been based on the scoring exploits of Uruguay striker Edinson Cavani, who is leading the Serie A with 13 goals.
In the most recent match, he scored a hat trick against Juventus, while earlier in the season his injury-time goal against Steaua Bucharest meant Napoli was the only Italian team to progress beyond the group stage of the Europa League.
"Cavani is showing that he is the most effective striker in the league," Napoli goalkeeper Morgan De Sanctis said.
"But credit must go to the team and Edinson knows this.
"He works very hard to make himself available for the ball on the pitch and this means we can keep pushing forward," De Sanctis said. "Now we have to push on with the same form that the team has shown so far." Also, it's: Cagliari vs. Palermo; Brescia vs. Parma; Catania vs. Chievo Verona; Cesena vs. AS Roma; Genoa vs.
