Jordan Anagbla, vice-president of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) announced Monday that Goran Stevanovic had been sacked as coach of the Black Stars. “I am urging those of you who are discussing Plavi's (Stevanovic) future not to waste your time in doing so. After all the coach is gone,” Anagbla told Radio Gold. “What we need to do now is move on towards a successful future.” Early last week, the GFA revealed that it had yet to make a decision on Stevanovic despite meeting the Serbian who had demanded the final 100,000 euro instalment of his signing-on fee. Stevanovic'sfuture had come under scrutiny following Ghana's failure to win the African Cup of Nations in Equatorial Guinea and Gabon. The Black Stars, one of the pre-tournament favourites, could only finish fourth after losing to Mali in the third-place playoff.
