Egypt's Coptic Orthodox Church shuts down churches nationwide over coronavirus pandemic

Egypt's Coptic Orthodox Church said it is shutting down all churches nationwide under preventive measures implemented by the state to contain the spread of the novel coronavirus pandemic, a statement by the Church said.
The vast majority of Christians in Egypt belong to the Coptic Orthodox Church.
