FM Shoukry: Egypt seeks to promote relations with Namibia, Somalia

Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry has said Egypt is looking forward to enhancing its relations with Namibia at all levels in the coming phase, Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ahmed Hafez Said.
The minister's remarks came during a meeting on Thursday with Namibian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of International Relations Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah on the fringe of Aswan Forum for Sustainable Peace and Development, he added.
The spokesman noted that Shoukry welcomed the Namibian minister's participation in the first edition of Aswan Forum.
The Egyptian top diplomat also asserted that Egypt was seeking to hold the first round of political consultations between the two foreign ministries soon.
He also highlighted Egypt's interest in enhancing trade and economic relations with Namibia in order to achieve common interests.
The two sides also probed means of enhancing relations in all domains as well as a set of issues of common interest.
Meeting with Somalia foreign Minister

Shoukry discussed on the same day with his Somali counterpart Ahmed Issa Awad boosting bilateral relations and other issues of mutual interest.
The meeting took place on the sidelines of Aswan Forum for Sustainable Peace and Development in Africa.
The two sides reiterated deeply-rooted relations between Egypt and Somalia, Hafez said.
Talks also tackled the latest developments in the Horn of Africa region and maintaining coordination on Red Sea security.
