Leicester City 'appalled' by racist comments against Choudhury following Salah tackle
Published in Ahram Online on 06 - 10 - 2019

Leicester City have said they are “horrified” by racist comments sent by Liverpool fans to the team's midfielder Hamza Choudhury on Twitter, after he tackled Mohamed Salah during Leicester's 2-1 loss to the Reds at Anfield on Saturday.
"We are appalled by these comments, which the club has reported to the police and to the social media platform on which they were made," a Leicester spokesman was quoted as saying by The Guardian.
“Discriminatory behaviour has no place in football or in society and we will seek the strongest possible course of action to be taken against those responsible,” he added.
Egyptian star Salah limped out of the Anfield stadium with what appeared to be an ankle injury after Choudhury's tackle.
"It's a challenge which I really don't understand," said Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp, who believes Choudhury should have been sent off rather than just shown a yellow card.
"He is a player who is at full sprint, to bring him down without the ball around, for me it is only one colour [card].
"I don't want to cause the boy any problems but he has to calm down in situations like that. It's not the first time. He has to calm down.
"He's a super player, super development in the last one or two years at Leicester, but these kind of challenges, no. I don't know how that cannot be red."

Liverpool are leading the English Premier League teams' table with 24 points after playing eight games so far this season, eight points ahead of titleholders and rivals Manchester City.
