Zamalek look well-equipped to win their first Egyptian Premier League title in four years as they look to extend their winning run at the expense of 12th-placed Gouna on Monday. The Cairo giants are eyeing a sixth consecutive victory and they are in buoyant mood following another late comeback win in their previous game. Just when Dakhleya looked on the brink of ending Zamalek's winning run last week, in-form winger Mahmoud Kahraba popped up to notch home a late winner for a precious 2-1 victory. It was their third comeback victory in recent games as Zamalek show a confidence they have often lacked, with Swiss coach Christian Gross getting the credit for molding an efficient attacking team. However, some defensive frailties are still a cause for concern, with injury problems depriving them of their preferred partnership in the heart of a four-man backline. But Zamalek will be boosted against Gouna by the return of influential Tunisian right-back Hamdi Nagguez and compatriot Ferjani Sassi, who pulls the strings in midfield. Both missed the win over Dakhleya due to their exertions with Tunisia in a midweek friendly against Morocco. The White Knights lead the table with 29 points, three ahead of second-placed Maqassa who played three matches more. However, with Zamalek's perennial rivals and title holders Ahly still having six matches to play, there might still be tough competition for the title.
