Egypt's Sisi discusses bilateral relations with French FM Le Drian

Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi discussed boosting relations between Egypt and France with French FM Jean-Yves Le Drian, who is currently on an official visit to Egypt, the Egyptian presidency announced.
El-Sisi and Le Drian discussed boosting cultural relations and cooperation in projects like the Grand Egyptian Museum in Giza, which is set to open soon, as well as the new Opera House in Egypt's new administrative capital.
The two officials also discussed a number of regional issues, including developments in Libya and pushing forward a political settlement to the Libyan conflict, as both Egypt and France believe in the need to restore security and stability in the war-torn country.
El-Sisi and Le Drian also discussed the latest developments in the Syrian crisis and pushing for a political solution to conflict and holding elections in the country.
President El-Sisi asserted that Egypt supports a political solution in Syria that upholds the unity and integrity of the Syrian state.
The two officials also discussed the latest developments in the Israeli-Palestinian peace process.
The meeting between the Egyptian president and the French FM was attended by Egyptian intelligence chief Abbas Kamel and French ambassador to Cairo Stephane Romatet.
