China's Shanghai Shenhua signs coach Jean Tigana
Former France midfielder Jean Tigana said Sunday he has signed as coach for Chinese Super League club Shanghai Shenhua

Tigana, who resigned as Bordeaux coach in May, said the move represented “a fantastic opportunity.”
He told a news conference: “I haven't come to China for financial reasons. If I wanted to earn more, I could have stayed in England or in Turkey.”
Tigana, who won the European Championship as a player alongside Michel Platini in 1984, previously managed Lyon, Monaco, Fulham, Besiktas and Bordeaux.
Tigana follows Chelsea's Nicolas Anelka in agreeing to move to China. Just a week ago, Shanghai Shenhua confirmed that they had signed the French striker, who will be the most high-profile overseas player in the Chinese league when he transfers next month.
Meanwhile, former Japan coach Takeshi Okada has signed a one-year contract to coach Hangzhou Greentown, starting 24 December, according to a statement on the club's website.
