Egypt winger Ramadan Sobhi has expressed his excitement at scoring his first-ever goal for English Premier League (EPL) side Stoke City, which he joined from Ahly in July 2016. Sobhi has not only broken his jinx at Stoke but has also been named the youngest-ever Stoke player to score in the EPL, according to tweets from British sources that the player shared. "Wow! Such an Honor!" Sobhi tweeted, sharing a post stating that he had written history by becoming ”Stoke's youngest player ever to score in Premier League". The 20-year-old netted the third goal in Stoke's 3-1 home victory over West Bromwich on Saturday, ensuring the win deep in stoppage time, slotting the ball into an empty net after being fed by Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting, who ran half the length of the pitch. "A cheerful day for The Potters! Thanks Choupo for the assist!" Sobhi tweeted after the game. Starting from the bench with only 11 minutes remaining, Sobhi was overwhelmed with the goal and took off his shirt in celebration, earning him a booking. "Sobhi was under huge pressure. He may have exaggerated his goal celebration, but he is a very good player and he just needs to be calmer," former Egypt great Mohamed Abou-Treika said during his post-match analysis on beIN Sports. The Egyptian international provided two assists in 20 Stoke City appearances in all competitions last season. He has made 14 appearances so far this term.
