Mohamed Morsi, head of the Muslim Brotherhood's Freedom and Justice Party (FJP), said on Wednesday that the incoming parliamentary majority would appoint a new, coalition government.
Preliminary results show the FJP leading Egypt's first post-Mubarak parliamentary polls.‎
Morsi added that the high turnout rate in Monday's and Tuesday's vote, which exceeded 40 per cent, had illustrated high levels of political awareness among the Egyptian public.
