Egypt star winger Mohamed Salah played the whole first half of Liverpool's 5-0 thashing at rivals Manchester City in the English Premier League on Saturday. Despite being his side's main source of threat down the right, from where he surged towards goal and missed a one-on-one chance, Salah was substituted by manager Jurgen Klopp at half-time. The change came after strike partner Sadio Mane received a straight red following an impetuous challenge on City keeper Ederson in the 37th minute. City were 1-0 up at that stage thanks to a Sergio Aguero goal and they soon made their numerical advantage count when Gabriel Jesus headed in a Kevin De Bruyne cross. The Brazilian Jesus tapped in his second in the 53rd minute after Aguero unselfishly played him in and Leroy Sane made it 4-0 in the 77th after combining well with Benjamin Mendy. Sane completed the rout in injury time with a brilliant, curling left-foot shot from 25 metres into the far corner.
