Darb 1718 is set to host the second edition of the Arab Rock Festival with six different Egyptian rock bands performing on 26 May.
The festival aims to support alternative music genres, such as Arabic hard rock and metal music, as well as introduce more people to these music scenes in Egypt and the Arab world.
The lineup includes the bands Malaaz, Khayal, Code Masr, Sada That, Telepoetic and ZigZag.
Malaaz is an alternative rock band formed in 2014 with members Mohamed Abdelrazik (guitarist/composer/lyricist), Amr Beshr (lead guitarist), Maged Amer (vocalist), Moataz El Nashar (bassist) and Ahmed El-Gohary (drummer). Malaaz last performed at El Sawy Culture Wheel on 4 May.
