Hot weather is forecasted throughout Egypt on Saturday, continuing a heat wave that hit the country on Friday. In statements to state news agency MENA, Egypt's meteorological authority predicted that the heat would continue throughout Saturday before breaking at night, with minor rain expected in the far west. Cairo is expected to see a high of 37 degrees Celsius by day and low of 23 by night, while the northern coastal city of Alexandria will witness a high of 32 and low of 16. The tourist resort city of Hurghada on the Red Sea will see a high of 36 and low of 25, while Sharm El-Sheikh in south Sinai will see a high of 34 and low of 24. The Mediterranean and Red seas will experience moderate to high waves, reaching highs of two to 2.5 metres.
