Pharaohs striker Marwan Mohsen will undergo scans for a swollen knee on Tuesday to determine the nature of his injury, doctor Ayman Abou El-Ela revealed on Monday, with the 28-year-old likely to miss Egypt's clash against Burkina Faso in the tournament semis on Wednesday. The Ahly striker was replaced in Egypt's 1-0 win over Morocco in the African Cup of Nations quarter finals on Sunday after suffering a knee injury two minutes before half-time. Mohsen has produced many convincing displays with the Pharaohs during the ongoing African Cup of Nations, being the first choice of coach Hector Cuper on the team's frontline. Egypt reached their first semi-finals since 2010 after defeating Morocco 1-0, thanks to a late goal by substitute Mahmoud “Kahraba” Abdel-Moneam, who scored the winner three minutes from time.
