Cuisine Food Festival in Cairo on Saturday: A taste of culture

Guests of the Cuisine Food Festival in Cairo will be treated to various tastes from around the world Saturday, 10 December, in the Dusit Thani Lake view Hotel.

Cuisine: A Taste of Culture, is held for the third year running and is organised by Al-Ahram Institution's Nisf El-Dunia magazine.

This year's festival will showcase food from 17 countries: Egypt, the United States, Canada, France, Switzerland, Japan, China, Russia, Indonesia, India, Thailand, Morocco, Lebanon, Mexico, Cameron, South Korea and Georgia.

Some of the chefs participating in the event include US chef and TV personality Rachael Ray, Canadian chef Andrew Mitchell, and Egyptian chefs Osama El-Sayed, Sally Fouad and Amira Shanab.

The festival will include a performance by Egyptian singer Hisham Abbas as well as a Tanoura dance.

A cake decoration competition will also be held on the sidelines of the festival and will be judged by an international panel.
