Stoke City manager Mark Hughes has extolled the performance of Egypt's winger Ramadan Sobhi after Saturday's first ever outing at West Ham United's London stadium. Sobhi made his Premier League start with Stoke in their 1-1 draw with West Ham United at the expense of absent key-player Xherdan Shaqiri but was substituted six minutes from time after seemingly hurting a hamstring muscle, making way for Mame Biram Diouf. "Clearly we were missing Xherdan and Marko today and that would have affected any side, because they are two hugely important players for us," Hughes was quoted as saying on the club's official website after the game. "But the two guys who came in, Ramadan and Jonathan Walters, were absolutely fantastic to be honest," he added. "Ramadan was superb, and his work rate and desire was absolutely second to none — he is a really exciting player for us, especially when you take in to the fact that he is still 19-years-old," the Stoke City coach said. Sobhi, who joined Stoke from Egyptian giants Ahly in summer for a fee believed to be £5 million, has made six appearances with Stoke so far this season.
