Ivorian Drogba's deal isn't a big issue, says coach Chelsea manager Andre Villas-Boas is confident Ivory Coast striker Didier Drogba will extend his stay with the club at any time
Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas revealed Sunday that Ivory Coast striker Didier Drogba is attached emotionally to the Blues and eventually will pen a contract extension with the club. "Players who are attached emotionally to this club - and Didier is attached emotionally to this club - will eventually renew their contract” Villas-Boas was quoted as saying on Sky Sports. The 33-year old Ivorian striker will see his current deal expire with Chelsea at the end of the ongoing season and he has yet to commit his future to the club beyond that point. "I don't see it as a big issue," said the Blues boss, adding, "So I am not panicking about the situation." The 2010 African Player of the Year has earned many titles since he first donned the Premier League giant's shirt in 2004 and has become one of the club's most effective players.
