Apple, the leading computers and phones manufacture, has convinced Toshiba to open another plant in China, specializing in the manufacturing LCD for Apple computers. Toshiba announced its plan to build the new factory in the state of Ishikawa in China with total investments of $1.19 billion. Apple will also invest in the establishment of this factory, according to Nikkei economic newspaper. Construction of the factory will begin in the following year and the production of LCD high definition screens will start in the first half of 2011. Toshiba already owns a factory in this state, where its produces 1 million units of LCD screens. Experts expect that this figure will double once the new plant starts to work. Apple uses LCD screens in its iPhones, iPods touch, iPads and other computers.
