Egypt's Mohamed Salah capped a successful season by scoring his 14th Serie A goal for AS Roma as they finished third with a 3-1 victory over AC Milan in the final matchday on Saturday. The in-form winger put Roma 1-0 up after 19 minutes when he ran onto a lofted pass to beat the offside trap and break clear, placing a low shot into the bottom corner with aplomb. Two more goals from Stephan El Shaarawy and substitute Emerson ensured Roma's victory before Carlos Bacca scored a consolation for Milan with three minutes remaining. Salah has been one of Roma's key performers since joining from English side Chelsea last summer, carrying on from where he left off in the second half of last season when he blossomed in a brief loan spell with Fiorentina. This season, he scored 14 goals and created eight others to win over the Roma fans. He also netted once in the UEFA Champions League. Roma earned a Champions League qualifying spot after finishing third with 80 points, 13 clear of fourth-placed Inter Milan. Napoli are second on 82 points, nine behind champions Juventus.
