Following an extremely successful event in 2009, the 3rd Docks Art Fair will from 13 to 18 September welcome 30 internationally renowned French and foreign galleries to Lyon. Located on the Esplanade de la Sucrière, an exceptional site in the heart of the Confluence district, this young fair is part of a dynamic regional network of institutions dedicated to contemporary art. The Docks Art Fair, far from the great events in Paris, attracts major collectors and international professionals from the art world, as well as amateurs and novices who enjoy the fair's special didactic approach and the accessibility of gallery owners and artists. 32 French and foreign art galleries have been chosen by the Docks Art Fair selection committee to exhibit at the fair this year. Four solo exhibitions will be held by artists from the Arab World. From Tunisia, Galerie Ammar will showcase works by Meriem Bouderbala, Galerie El-Marsa works by Patricia K.Triki and Kanvas Art Gallery works by Mohamed Ben Slama. Whilst from Morocco, Matisse Art Gallery Marrakech will exhibit works by Amina Benbouchta.
