US stocks slip into red

US stocks resumed its losses on Wednesday, with the Dow Jones, S&P500 and Nasdaq plunging by nearly 3 per cent as investors worries over an economic meltdown resurfaced.
TheDowJones industrial average dipped 289.6 points (2.58 per cent) to reach 10,950. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index was down 39.29 points (3.35 per cent) at 1,133. The Nasdaq Composite Index dropped 60.35 points (2.43 per cent) at 2,422.17.
