Three gunmen stormed a hotel in Egypt's Red Sea resort of Hurghada on Friday, injuring at least two before security forces foiled the attack. Speaking to Ahram Online, health ministry spokesperson Khaled Megahed said two Swedish tourists were stabbed in the attack. They are being treated in the town's Nile Hospital. Two of the gunmen were killed, according to eyewitness accounts. The attack took place at Bella Vista Hotel in the busy downtown area of the city. According to Reuters, security sources said that assailants arrived by sea to carry out the attack. There were no immediate official reports of casualties.
