Egypt reopened eight ports in the Red Sea and the Suez after closing them for 48 hours due to bad weather, high winds, dust storms and high waves, said Mahmoud Dezar, head of Red Sea ports. The ports differ in their usage, ranging from transportation of goods to passengers and fishing. "Those (reopened) ports are el- Ein el-Sokhna, el-Adabia, Bor Tawfiq, el-Ateka, el-Zaytiat, Safaga, Hurgada and Nuweiba," said Ali Shater, head of the Suez port. Furthermore, life has returned to normal at the southern entrance of the Suez Canal, following yesterday's disruptions. Things also got back to normal in the Shaheed Ahmed Hamdi tunnel and the Suez roads that connect to Cairo, South Sinai and the Red Sea.
