Handball: Egypt finish fourth in junior World Cup Germany defended their title and won the championship from Denmark Tunisia clinched the Bronze from Egypt
Egypt finished fourth in the handball Junior World Championship in Greece after being defeated from rivals Tunisia 18-24 on Saturday. The Tunisian team dominated since the start whistle and the young Pharaohs couldn't draw once although coach, Abdo Abdel-Wahab made many substitutes and changes in his tactics. Best shooter of this match was Mosba Sanai, who scored eight times for Tunisia. “That's a great novelty in handball. It's the first time in the history of the IHF that two non-European teams reached the semi-final,” says Hassan Moustafa, the International Handball Federation's Egyptian president. The final between Denmark and Germany ended with a 27-18 well-deserved victory to the defending-title Germany who had a really tough defense. “The Tournament was so much better than we even dared to hope for,” Moustafa said.
