Tahrir protesters to open Mogamma Wed and Thurs Protesters in Tahrir Square decided to open the Mogamma, the country's largest administrative building which they have been blockading since yesterday, on Wednesday and Thursday
Protesters in Tahrir Square decided to open the Mogamma, the largest governmental administrative building in Egypt, on Wednesday and Thursday but have threatened to escalate their protests if their demands are not met soon. On Sunday morning, the demonstrators gathered around the Mogamma whilechanting anti-SCAF slogans. They have blocked off the building's colossal main entrance, which faces the square, in an attempt to force the authorities to respond to their demands. Protesters said that should they be ignored, the Mogamma will be completely blocked and so will the underground metro stations. They said fulfillment of their demands is non-negotiable, maintaining that they will never back down.
