Alexandria demonstrators now blocking the Corniche Street to protest police brutality include members of the Revolution Youth Coalition, whom the popular committees have been trying to persuade them to end the road blockage. Ahmed Ali, a member of the Revolution Youth Coalition's executive office, stressed that the martyrs' families have every right to express their anger over “the delay and lack of seriousness of the trials”. He also said he hopes a decision to suspend from work those accused of killing peaceful protesters during the 25 January Revolution will be made in the near future in order to avoid further escalation.
