El Sakia String Orchestra conducted by Mohamed Saad Basha will perform well-known works from the classical music repertoire on Tuesday 21 June at El Sawy Culturewheel. The programme will include:C. Nielsen's Little Suite for Strings,G. Faure's Pavane andE. Grieg's Holberg Suite. El Sakia String Orchestra was formed in October 2010 with the aim of performing classical music in a location that mainly offers pop and rock concerts so that their young audience can have easy access to classical music. This ambitious and inspiring initiative is driven by Mohamed Saad Basha, the orchestra's founder and conductor. The orchestra consists of 12 musicians and performs a Baroque repertoire, extending it to works from other eras suitable for this formation.
