FACTBOX: How big is Egypt's newfound Zohr gas field?

The Zohr natural gas field discovered off Egypt by Italian company Eni is the largest found in the Mediterranean with a potential 30 trillion cubic feet of gas, almost twice as large as the Leviathan field off Israel.
The discovery, announced on Sunday, covers about 100 square kilometres and could help meet energy-starved Egypt's gas needs for decades to come.
The find could compete with gas projects in Israel and Cyprus.
Globally, however, Egypt is outside the top 10 countries in total gas reserves, with Russia, Iran and Qatar holding by far the largest.
