Mostafa Elgamal, Egyptian representative in Hammer Throw finals at the World Championships in China has finished seventh with a 76.81 throw. Pawel Fajdek of Poland claimed the gold medal with a 80.88 throw. Tajikistan's Dilshod Nazarov won silver with a 78.55. Wojciech Nowicki of Poland won Bronze also with 78.55. The 27-year-old athlete Elgamal was not on his peek failing to break his personal best throw 81.27, which he made in Cairo last year. Best Hammer Throw of all time remains 86.74 made by Yuriy Sedykh of the USSR in 1986. Elgamal's fellow citizen Mostafa Amr missed out on the shot put final in his first participation in the World Championships after finishing 18th among 28 athletes in Beijing on Sunday. The last hope for the Egyptian delegation to win their first ever athletics world medal, Ehab Abdel-Rahman, will compete in Javelin throw qualifications group stage Monday.
