In the exhibition, Mohamed Abla, the renowned Egyptian painter, documents the buildings as he sees them through his art studio in the centre of Cairo. "Through the window I see the city endlessly flowing with its streets and buildings. Every day I choose another building; and I start imagining what happened to the city and to its people, who is making the changes by adding different shapes and colours. As I sit there and dream, the buildings start to transform into human beings, who are willing to tell hundreds of stories and secrets," writes Abla in his introduction to the exhibition. "Cairo Towers" will open on 12 December at the Zamalek Art Gallery. 11 Brazil Street, Zamalek, Cairo, Egypt. The gallery is openfrom 10.30 am until 9 pm every day except Friday.
