A Tunisian documentary film titled National Hymen by filmmaker Jamel Mokni will be screened at Townhouse Gallery on 4 June. The film tackles social taboos and double standards in Arab societies. The screening has been organised by Nazra for Feminist Studies, a research organisation on women's rights which has recently initiated a cultural program that tackles social taboos in Egypt. The documentary screening starts at 7pm at the Rawabet Theatre in the Townhouse Gallery, 10 Nabrawy Street, off Champollion Street, Downtown Cairo.
